My Alberta Bighorn
After 14 years I finally drew my first bighorn tag in Alberta. We hiked 8 hrs into camp, first day of hunting we glassed 6 rams, 2 of which were legal. Second day started off windy and snowy with reduced visibility and only 2 small rams. After lunch, a legal ram came running over the ridge into our zone. We set up to intercept him but he got past us and joined up with a dozen ewes. Distracted by the ewes, I was able to sneak in from above for a 25yd shot at the P&Y ram.
Very nice. Congrats on a fine trophy. Hunt
Thanks guys, I think Kyles golden horse must have rubbed off on me, I hiked in the day after Kyle shot his ram with the his same Guide Elijah. Stayed in the same cot, almost shot the ram from one of the blinds they built and stalked him on the same hill, my ram died a couple hundreds yards from Kyles.
Beautiful Ram. Congratulations.

Wow...Three for three with you guys in Canmore is IMPRESSIVE. Congrats.
Congratulations!! That is an awesome trophy!
Nice to see a sheep thread and it's not a rifle kill. Looks like it's possible to kill one with a bow after all.
Beautiful ram and great picture also! Congrats!
You barely got to "experience" the hunt. Congrats for sure! Hope you shot better than I did!
A HUGE congrats to you (and Elijah)!!!
