Thought bowsiters might like to see a picture of a bighorn sheep my brother Phil took this past October in Alberta with his bow. Over the counter tag, lots of competition, hard to find a legal ram but he got it done! 44 yard shot. 9 1/2 years old, 35 inch long by 15 3/4 bases, rough scored 166.
Phil helped me take a ram in 2006 and it was great to return the favor and help him on this hunt. We only get a few days each year to hunt sheep together and we have a blast every time we go out, whether we find sheep or not. We always hike ourselves to near death and love every minute of our time spent together, nothing like hunting with my brother! Great guy.
Great Job guys, Mike you two always treated us right when up years ago. I'll have to do it again soon
Awesome ram! Huge Congratulations!
Awesome & agree, nothing beats hunting with your brother..
Way to go Doc! To think you guys were once 90# weaklings. ;^)
Great Ram Phil!!! Way to go Man!!! Congrats....
Good work fellas! He's a beauty
Congrats! That's a great ram.
Hard work paid off. Enjoy the spoils of your hunt.
SWEET!
Congrats and thanks for sharing!
Dandy Ram!
Congrats
Good luck, Robb
Good ole "Dr. Phil"! Still woefully out of shape?? Ha! Kidding aside Matt and I hunted with Dr. Phil in 2006 at Mike's. Great guys to be around!
Mike: So sorry you only get to hunt sheep "a couple days each year"! Most of us get tired after our month or so each year here in the states! Ha Ha!
Great pic and please pass along congrats to Phil!
Cogratulations to Phil! Phil came up to hunt elk for a couple days when I was in camp in 2012, the type of guy any hunter would be happy to share a hunt with. Great job helping him finally break the curse Mike.
Super duper ram. Congrats,
You must be adopted Mike. You guys look nothing alike;>)
Congrats to Phil on a great trophy, & to both of you guys for getting to share the experience with each other!!
Great ram! Congrats to him!
Very nice! Congrats Phil!
Mike,
Pass on a huge MN congrats to Phil!!! A tremendous accomplishment!
The fact that you got to hunt together again and beat some long odds (again) is what living life is all about!
I remember when we were hunting elk up at your place and Phil came up to hunt moose. He would go out in the AM and hunt then change into his running gear and run the 10+ miles back to your camp!!! Then of course go hunt the afternoon!
Serious athlete for sure!

To prove that I was there too!
Amazing ram, congrats to both of you!
The classic photo.
We had about 85 lbs each that evening back to camp, mostly in the dark after we deboned the sheep, and then 90-100 lbs to get our camp and the sheep out the next day in one trip. That too in the dark because Phil had to be back at work the same morning!
That's how it gets done! Awesome ram.
My ram from 2006, picture looks like it is from 1966, all I got. Now my mission is to kill a solid 170 class, 8+ yr old ram in 2016 or help my wife get one, don't know of a woman Alberta resident hunter who has taken an archery ram. Either one would be fantastic. Dreaming and planning for it all is half the fun!
Congrats on a nice ram...great to hear about the brother helping brother hunt.
Mike, Come to think of it.....if my memory serves me correctly...You have killed multiple bighorns with your bow??
How many?
Pics of each?
Mark
Congrats! I hunted in Mike's camp, his lower level where the hunters stay will make you green with envy. I asked right off who shot those sheep on the wall, to which Mike replied, "i did". You know you are with the right outfitter when he has bowhunted for sheep, goats, elk, bear, WT, and of course, big mule deer!
Fantastic, congrats!
I will pay you $100 to take me.
Fantastic ram! Congrats to both of you.
