Looking for a place to hunt Mulies in NM, not looking for honey holes just a place that would give me a honest and maybe a possible shot, either bow or rifle.

New Mexico has a few trophy units that are very difficult to draw.
After those few, there's not a huge difference between how most of the units are managed and most can be drawn quite easily.
If you're willing to pay for private land access, there are units that aren't tough to draw which will give you good hunting.
If you want to hunt public land DIY, your average CO unit is going to be better than your average NM unit.
In NM most of the archery seasons are in September and some units have a January late season. I don't know much about rifle hunting in NM.
