I saw Camofire have a sale on these. They only have the large which only works for deboned elk. For bone-in elk, you'd need the extra large. So this is not a sales pitch...
I haven't heard of these bags before. I have used TAG bags and Caribou Gear bags. Both of those are excellent. What is the story with the Ovis bags? Are they just a copy of the other bags?

I ordered some off camofire the other week cause the price was right. I haven't put them through the paces yet but they seem to be very similar to the Caribou bags in terms of packaging and material. I thought for the price there wasn't a whole lot of downside in getting them and giving them a go.

Yes, the ones they are offering on sale are too small for meat on the bone. They are 16"X24" they would be fine if boning out entire elk. If left on bone such as hindquarters you will want the 36" minimum length & some stretch to it, 48" is better. Quality of bag looks good!

These smaller size would work great for deer, correct? I just about pulled the trigger on them last time they were up but was debating on quality due to the unknown.
My lovely bride tossed out my game bags this year "because they were stained". So I need to pick up some new ones. SMH.

They had the extra large on sale before Christmas and I picked some up because the price was right so I thought I would give them a shot. The quality seems to be good, but I have not put them to the test yet. Hopefully next fall.

I probably have 25 game bags. Haven't bought a one. Old sheets, curtains, garage sale cloth. Them sew to fit. Have them from moose to deer.
That's the best sale.

Any reason other than price that you wouldn't just go with those?
I don't have any experience with the Ovis so I can't answer your question.. Sorry about that.
