I just get to watch my hunters hunt or listen to their stories every evening. I took 3,000 of meat scraps up to camp yesterday.
I get to Whale Pass, Prince of Wales Island, AK, May 5th and stay until June 17th. Although I havent accomplished it in over 20 years there, I plan on killing at least one "Booner" and a second "backup" bear.
Going back to Bear Track, first of June. Fatten them up Ron.
I'm going back to Pine Acres for my 3rd hunt with them. Chris tried to get me to come for the spring but I could not make it happen with work. I will be hunting the opening week in August.
Headed to Agassiz in Manitoba during the 3rd week in May.
Barren Ground Grizzly. Alaska, Late May - Early June.
Headed to SE AK for black bear with Stafford and another buddy the first part of May. It should be an adventure!!
Matt
BearTrack will be hosting a Combat Wounded, Purple Heart Recipient Hero along with another Wounded Warrior, Purple Heart Recipient Hero, Associate/Escort the week of May 16 to May 20th. Ron and Jeannine have graciously donated the hunt and Bowsite guys will help with the incidentals.

Eagle Eye with Kyle Mudge May 8th.
I plan to shoot a lot of bear photos while guiding this season, it is so much fun to get close on the ground with them. Might even get time to do a rare hunt myself at home if Spring comes as early as it seems it will. Had gigantic tracks within 100 yards of my house last Fall, hope he denned up nearby. Good luck everybody, shoot straight!
Back to TSI in June. Taking my 83 yr old dad, and my older brother this year.
Rob, see if you can hang a ThermaCell around that bear's neck and shoot another photo.
Millie (Lady bowhunter)and I are heading to TSI last week of Spring season with a few friends (including 4 rookies). Millie's getting pumped because this will be the first time she's had other women n bear camp in 10 or 12 trips.
Ace; No point, they don't work on flies, only skeeters.
Going back to pine acres this fall. Second week of season. Can't say enough good things about Chris's operation.
Idaho and Montana . 3 bear tags. It looks like a early spring across the west. Can't wait. I hear a guy from Colorado is coming up to try his luck. Going to be fun.
Best of luck and may your arrows fly true! Hunt

I didnt plan on it! but i am now Northern Saskatchewan june 1-5 ...brother cant make it so im going solo,,ive never really set out to hunt bears its alway been just chance incounters then spot and stock if able I dont know what to expect but I bet when I see one Ill have that loud thumping noise in my ears
good luck to all be safe and may your arrow find its mark MikeC
Second week of May with Muskeg Country Outfitters (Dean McCulloch) Here's the "tank" I hit but did not recover last year. :(
Hope to meet up with this Brute again. I had my chance last year but I was busy videoing when he walked in. By the time I could grab my bow he was gone and never saw him again. How big you think he is ?
Would you pass him if he was only a 6 1/2 footer? I tell my guests this only once. If a bear as tall as one of my barrels comes into the bait and you decide not to shoot, that's ok. And I will find someone in camp that will shoot it.
Yes I would pass him if he was 6.5' Can't kill big bears if you shoot the little ones.
TK you are very correct if you shoot a small one it guaratees no big one.Ive seen many dozens of 400-550lb bears and that one has several traits of a mature boar well over 350lbs and likely over 400 but hes short. Its not a small bear.
I will be hunting grizzly in Alaska the first week in August in the Alaska range cant wait.
Tim.
MT spot and stalk and 2 tags in Idaho for the first time. Fellow Bowsiter is gonna help me get started on setting up a bait for the Idaho tag. Taking two of my boys with me for that. Can't wait! Post Pics everyone!
There is 21 guys coming for bear this spring planning on skin one a few and yes stories will be fun to listen too. Good luck to all of you's on your bear hunts this year, stay safe. God bless
Here's one that no one got last year. Hope he shows up this year!!
I am probably not going to black bear hunt this spring.
Gonna do a spring hunt in Idaho with some crazy Montana Bowhunter
Then I'll get a fall tag for Colorado like I usually do .
Lots of spring spot and stalk black bear hunting around home. No success in the spring grizzly draw this year, so hopefully I'll get a fall draw to top-off the tags on our northern BC caribou and moose fly-in hunt.
I (we) want to kill the !@#$%^ bear that keeps damaging our cabin...
but then, I also wanted to hunt the better and more accessible area where I usually hunt with my family and friends...
but then a friend that bought an outfitting in a more southern area has asked me to come out of "semi-retirement" and help him set up their bear hunting...
but then I see an orthopedic surgeon this coming Thursday for possible surgery on one of my abused joints...
I think the first and second option is what I really want to do... besides, I lost an old friend this week that was the same age as me, and at 63, how many good years do I have left?
Ken: If you need some help let me know!! Ha!
Headed to pine acres june 5 with 2 friends . This is my second time and my friends first . Chris runs a sweet semi guided hunt that in my opinion is second to none

Too early to tell. I can't apply yet for a MI tag but with three points I'm optimistic. A fall Bear hunt is plan A if not go out west.

After a week in Manitoba, we head right to Nipawin, Saskatchewan to hunt a week with Barry Prall. This will be my fourth year in a row of doing these to hunts back to back. Going to TSI in June for my first bear hunt. I'll be going with my younger brother and our 83 year old Dad. Been really stoked for this trip since we started planning last fall. Also, any and all advise gladly accepted.
Going to sask in may with just two friends. Place hasnt had an outfitter on it since 2002. Ive been looking for a place like this for a long time! They put out a couple test baits with just cameras last year and got pics of some giant "type dreams are made of bears". We're the only guys in camp that first week so we're really excited and plan on taking home some big ones!
