Idaho Bear Question

My current plans are to drive from Salt Lake City to Jackson Wyoming in September to hunt elk.
I have been looking at the possibility of stopping in southern Idaho to try for a bear in unit 76 (Diamond Creek). Harvest Statistics show a lot of the bears harvested are taken over baits.
Would it be realistic to try a spot and stalk bow hunt in this unit early - mid September? Thanks.
