Some friends and I are planning a spring bear trip for 2017 to Ontario and one of the places that we are considering is Davis' Bonny Bay camp by Dryden, Ontario. We would like to go to a place that has fishing to go along with the bear hunting and it appears that this place might fit the bill. Anyway, I searched the outfitter reviews here and there is nothing. Also tried to find some online reviews as far as the bear hunting goes and came up empty.
I've asked the others that might be going what is important to them from the bear side and neither size nor color phase is that high on the list. There will be 2 compound guys and 3 trad guys.
Anyone out here on Bowsite ever hunt with them or know anything about them that could provide some feedback? Reply to this thread or PM is fine if you prefer.
Thanks,
Matt

Have you looked at pine acres? They are close to Dryden. Have some good fishing as well

They just recently acquired their bear area. Mostly fishing. The fishing on Wabigoon Lake is AWESOME!! They are fine people.

Try Bear Paw Landing in Wabagon Ont. 12 miles east of Dryden, both fishing and hunting they are right on the lake, Carl and Susan Seek.

I have hunted fall bear 2 years in a row with Len and Nancy. They run a great camp for both hunting and fishing. I have used other outfitters and none have come close to what they offer. I will be heading up in May this year to go for a spring bear. I've had 100% sightings with kills both years. If you have any questions please on them, let me know.
