I'm looking for any info on a Vehicle accessible/Short hike forest service cabin on the Kenai Penn that I could spring black bear hunt out of? Wondering if anyone has any information about one they know of or have stayed at in the past.

I guess it don't have to be a forest service cabin either. Just looking for something inexpensive like the forest service cabins are?

Hunting will be on steep avalanche chutes. Generally the first week in June is good but we are getting an early leaf out right now this year.
I had some friends stay and hunt out of the Barber cabin a few years ago and see bears.
