Had an amazing trip with Agassiz Outfitters in Manitoba. I was able to arrow this big sow the second night of the hunt. Shot her at 19 yards and she only made it another 20-25 yards before it was all over. Beautiful coat and an awesome first bear.

After finding my bear, I heard that my Dad also shot a bear that night. My old man scored on an awesome color phase bear. This was our first ever double. These memories will last a lifetime.

that is great. one of by best hunting memories was the day in 2010 my son and I both took bears on the same evening. we had done it on the same trip but never same day. you have done something you will cherish forever and so will your dad.

Thanks boys! I think I've day dreamed about our time in Manitoba every day this week. I wasn't sure that I would do another bear hunt after this one (figured I'd save up and cross a few other animals off my bucket list), but that though process is changing quickly. There is something about bear camp that is so special.

Amen. I always said I just wanted to shoot a bear to cross it off my bucket list. Now I'm trying to figure out how to go back as often as I can! I think next year I'll bring the wife again as an observer. Then we'll try to go each year and rotate with one of us hunting and one observing so we can both enjoy camp. I know going back without her might not be an option!

Hoosierhunter I could not agree more on bring your daughter, I am up here at bear track outfitters with my daughter and here is a pic with her first bear. Great memories for sure??
