Shot a turkey today - out of season
...With my Sony Alpha. Of course, he shows up after the season just closed. But I got some incredible Pics and wanted to share them. Not BB quality - but I do like messing around with print cameras when I have time.
better than any turkey TBM/Bighurt ever shot :)
I opened this thread just to UP the post count.
Cmon lets see more... Great pic!
He's got some serious hooks on the bad boy. Nice shot.
Limb hanger hooks and nice rope hanging off his chin!
Geez, just when I was finally getting them out of my head....Great pics!
Nice pics Pat! Anyone else imagining where they would place an arrow on each pic or am I the only one inflicted with that disease?
I was picking out which feather to shoot. "Aim small, miss small".
Awesome!!! Second pic is my fav. Great pics for imagining shot placement too
Here's a good one for you shot placement guys - and perverts.
Only saw one mature gobbler in NY and that was two weeks before opening day. NY turkey season was terrible this year.
Nice pics - great looking bird
Is it just me, or does it look in the 2nd pic (to the right of his head in the pic) like he had a shave/close call some time during the season?
Great pics! Thanks for sharing.
Great pics Pat! Where was he when you took them? Looks like the grass is mowed.
My wife & I were sleeping in the morning after our season closed the other day. We heard some gobbling & got up to look. The rotten devil was in full strut right under the bird feeder:>(
Beautiful feathered birds until you pluck them for the pot.
Nice Pics Pat.
and to think there was some thought to make the wild turkey the National Symbol.
Great pics. Pat now are you going to grow chufa Lewis
Yes, I just got the seed from Hancock. Identified 3 small fields and will plant this upcoming weekend. I'll be curious to see how well this works. I'm sure it will come up well, my biggest question is: will there be any tubers still around for spring turkey season?
They'll hit in late fall and depending on pressure all thru winter into early spring good luck Lewis
Not sure where you live Lewis, but here's a photo of our winter. They will have to be pretty hungry to attempt to scratch up Chufa in these conditions. ;-)
That is the prettiest food plot. You could play golf on it.
My yard doesn't look that nice.
Such a beautiful bird to photograph! Nice!
Damn Pat ! Maybe you could go polar bear hunting ?
Shot this guy after he dove into a plant on my deck
