I just got an email from one of my best friends that he drew the Idaho Moose Super tag.

He's not looked into it yet only knew about the tag for a couple of hours no one makes plans when the buy there super tag chances.

If 54 can be hunted, go there. If not, 55 has some very big bulls as well. Awesome tag, congrats to him!

Statewide yes, but you may not be able to hunt 54. There wasn't a moose season there when I lived there a few years ago but there were really big bulls in the unit. If you can, I'd give it a good look.

There is 5 tags in 55 and one in 54 this year So it looks like he can hunt both units.

Hunted unit 70 last year based on Huntinfool rec as a very good unit but not a top unit. I agree. It was very good and I killed a nice Shiras. I noticed it is highly rated again in HF magazine but based on my limited experience , talking to local hunters and the game warden I would look elsewhwre with the super tag. If you want to meet some fine people and have a really good hunt ( and maybe see a giant) then unit 70 fits the bill. Also, no outfitters for moose in that unit if that matters

The tag was good for any moose area in the State $5 a chance 7400 chances sold.
