They're hard to judge with nothing to compare them to but I agree with HUNT. Narrow head and muzzle lead me to think sow as well. Still a nice bear and if it makes you happy it makes me happy! Good luck!

^^^^ I completely agree with HUNT and Brotsky on this. Sow and hard to tell without a barrel or something to reference size. It I had to guess......275-300lbs. Beautiful bear!

Yeah, Seems to be a fairly good bear for Northern California. Can't hunt on bait here so I'll have to hope it's in the area mid August and try to call it in. Exciting way to hunt bears in thick cover but it's very hard to judge bears as the're coming in fast to try to eat you.
