July 14th 5pm Mendocino County California Spot and stalk. 100 degrees... My first Blacktail and first velvet buck. Oh, and my 5th trip (attempts/years) to NoCal to hunt these delicious little deer.

Such a fun hunt. Shot him at 3 yards from base of my tree. He was right under my stand. Broke his offside shoulder and he made it 20 yards before taking a final nap. One of my all time favorite hunts.
