FWIW, my mom had it in her early 60s, had surgery and the treatment, and is now 92 and still going strong.

The family has been on my prayer list for several weeks. Very sad situation. I have son battling a terrible, incurable disease so I have a little feeling of what they are going through.

EFF JAMES UPDATE -- Jeff's cross country coach and several Spartan teammates from Homestead High School near Fort Wayne visited Jeff in Indy on Saturday morning. Jeff's resting after his latest surgery and looking ahead to going home. His battle against colon cancer began nealy 2 years ago and he's had his fill of hospitals. Janet and I thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and best wishes for our oldest son. Please keep 'em coming!
