Anyone one yet hear any bugles in south west Colorado? im leaving fri for my elk hunt and was wondering if they were getting vocal yet.

They started going pretty decent on Saturday and with the weather they are getting now, I expect they will be going good next week.

My son and I hunted GMU 34 the last two weeks....not one bugle. Saw 1 bull and a lot of sign.

I'm sitting in gunnison right now. Just came off the mountain to get a beer, shower and hot meal...in that order. I spent 4 days in 67 mule deer hunting and never heard one bugle. Heading up in the morning for round 2.

hunted 421 from 9-9 thru9-15 bugling was pretty good the first few days then they shut up. It seemed to coincide with the full moon, not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.

Central CO has been tough the last week - we've been putting some miles on and have only heard a few bugles but the bulls that are responding just keep walking the other way...

Hunted Sept. 1-5 in the Sangres and heard a few bugles. Called two bulls in but they were still a bit shy. Heading back tomorrow morning to hunt the last two days of the season.

Co. Gmu 80 spent the last 6 days only one bugle.....probably another hunter .. to far away to tell
