DIY Alaska 60" Moose - [Rifle Kill]

I went to Alaska on a DIY trip with a buddy a couple weeks ago. I carried my bow for most of the time but ended up using a rifle to fill my tag.
It was a great trip, learned many things, and in no way ashamed about using a rifle
I put together a short video of the highlights
Enjoy

Great video! Congrats on the great hunt and the moose you got. Thanks for sharing--
Congrats on a nice bull, just wondering how long your post will last being that it's a rifle kill.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video and congrats on a great bull. I don't want to hijack, but since we have a rifle kill hope its ok if I add the one I called in for my friend to this thread.
Absolutely Awesome! Congrats on your trip of a Lifetime!

No prob with me
Nice bull too!
Congrats cnelk on a great moose and adventure!!
From the looks of the rope you used to tie off your antlers on the plane, you were a little concerned about possibly losing em;>)
Better safe than sorry!!!

That tie off job was the handi work of the pilot, I just held them there while he lashed them on :)
I asked if the antlers affect the flight of the plane... His answer was "It dont help" :)
If anyone is even remotely thinking about going to Alaska moose hunting, get it done. Time gets away from us all and pretty soon all we do is wish we did it.
I hope to go again sometime, not to hunt, but accompany a good friend so they can experience it too.
I couldn't agree more cnelk! Ever since we've known each other, (1984) my buddy & I have always wanted to do a moose hunt. Even though it rained every day & we were unsuccessful, we will remember the experience for the rest our lives!
"Tomorrow is promised to no man"
Nice presentation- very well done. Congrats on a great hunt and a super trophy.
Very nice ! Good bull, and good video presentation.
I only had one complaint.........I wasn't in it anywhere !
Congrats man. That's awesome. The North country gets in your blood though! No one can ever go North just once.
HECK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on a nice bull. How many trips packing meat? Really liked the video.
The pack was 1/4 mile from camp/lake. It took 7 hrs to butcher and pack the meat - 5 trips.
The head/rack weighed ~120lbs or so. With hip boots and black spruce and willows, it sucked.
Packing elk at 9000' is much easier :)
Great job all around, Brad. Never had any doubts. Looking forward to catching up and getting the whole story over a cold one soon!
Awesome! What a trophy. That is definitely a dream of mine. Will be making it happen in the next few years.
Very nice indeed!
Congrats

Very nice! What company did you use for transportation if you don't mind sharing?
This was a draw unit. I was lucky to find a pilot that took time off his busy schedule flying for Govt agencies to fly us in. Not sure how many others he takes, but its not many
Congrats on your bull, hunt and video!!!
