I know it is not elk hunting, but the elk forum is one of Nick's main hangouts.
Today Nick ran his first marathon at age 58, (if I am to believe his Facebook page)! He ran it in 3:37:33, which is a Boston qualifying time.
I tracked his race and his splits were solid. (I.e. Very little fall off or ups and downs)
Nicely done Nick! Congrats and have a cold one,,, or three!
That's so cool !! Congrats Nick. Here's to. 25 more years of elk hunting!! Hunt

Awesome Nick. I probably drove 26 miles today.
Fantastic, Nick! I was going to run one next week so Brian had some company, but now I don't have to! ;-)
Good run Nick!

Good luck, Robb
Fantastic!
Congrats Nick!
That is inspiring for sure. The qualifying time for the Boston, for his age group, 55-59 is 3 hours and 40 minutes.
He was 3 minutes faster than that. Nice.
my best, Paul
Don't know the man, but I am also a runner and congrats to anyone who trains and run marathon and congrats to anyone who is serious about their physical and mental health.

Great job Nick,proud for you!!!!
Hey, thanks everyone! Brian (Z Barebow) and Les (Elkaddict) are both, big time inspirations for me and went personally out of their way to help me with training and race tips.
My goals were #1, to train without injury so I didn't screw up my annual elk hunt and #2, qualify for Boston. Both were achieved with #1 being priority and #2 icing on the cake.
I was most fortunate to have 5 other friends join me along with many other friends and family to support us. We really had a blast in Milwaukee.
btw....even Milwaukee doesn't have enough beer to relieve this pain but we gave it our best effort! :-)
Congrats on a pretty solid accomplishment!
OK Nick, which one are you in the above photo? Thanks!
