There must be a bazillion acres of public land that holds turkeys and most farmers and ranchers will allow hunting them and some will beg you to kill them all. I can't imagine paying an outfitter/guide.

Hey I was just throwing that out there, I have no idea what you know or don't know and looking for guided turkey hunts is at a minimum, mildly unusual. Hope you find what you're looking for man.

If you're wanting a pure Merriam's, you'd do best to look for a mountain hunt.

Almost impossible to find a pure Merriam's on the prairie as most are hybrids.

Besides, the classic Merriam's hunt is in tall pine country.
