What would be good to plant in a foodplot that is unusually wet. I have a spot that can be very wet during a lot of the fall/winter depending on the amount of rain. It endures standing water for short periods of time as well. Any ideas?

Ladino clover can be submerged for spells of about a week. An advantage of putting in clover is that it doesn't require a lot of maintenance, which is good because the wet areas can't always be accessed by tractor.

Millet usually works well in wet areas.

Clover is as tolerant of damp conditions as it gets.

Birdsfoot Trefoil might be more tolerant than clover. Check it out.

Thanks guys. Good point about the inability to get the tractor in there to mow during the wet season.
