6 hunters including Jay, Jacob, John, Hunt4life and Boothill.
I'm hunting my old nemesis stand 3. Wind is perfect for the ground blind. West-Northwest, temps in the mid 40'd. Literally had hogs in 5 minutes after I got on stand. Holding out for a big one (150+) had a dozen in with a couple that were pretty close to the mark. Hogs are hard to judge.

I was in #3 about 2 weeks ago, squirrels and deer galore but just like your tonight the hogs wouldn't come in. The night before on #4, however, was a different story. There were at least 3 over 150. One less now. Good luck with the rest of your hjnt!

I am usually a weak man and would have shot one, BUT, (purist please tune out until tomorrow). Oklahoma now allows night hunts on private land with gun.
There I typed it. This next part will cover that hunt. Tomorrow I will return with the bow.

Night hunting.
Wow, that was an experience. Matt has special rifle with a thermal scope, night vision everything and an electric bugggy. We cruised around the trails spotting hogs but they were spooky.
This was no cake-walk. 3 times we circled the property.
The first loop we had several hogs at stand 7. It's hard to judge the size of the hogs through the scope.

We spotted more hogs but just couldn't get in range. Second trip around the property had me looking at a dozen hogs but I couldn't size them up and we lost the opportunity. Finally on the third go-around we got a break and caught a passel of pigs on one of the interior trails.

Again, it was difficult to tell the size and with so many hogs, I had to wait on the shot. Finally I got a broadside shot and that was all she wrote. 170 pound boar.
Reminded me of gator hunting in an airboat.

After a good lunch of venison summer sausage and inferno venison brats (they lived up to their name) it was off to the stands. I'm at 7 and the wind is swirling every which way. I must have spotted over 40 hogs just walking in but they all had my wind. At a $1.5 per pound on the second hog, I'm all about the first good broadside shot on anything bigger than a beagle. Boot Hill is at 1A and hunt4life is at 3. 55 degrees with a predominately W-SW wind but still swirls at times. Hoping the wind dies down before dark.

For those of you that don't know, Matt & Cheryl Napper have a guest house near their hunting property. Some scumbag/scumbags broke in and stole all of their game mounts. Police are on it.
