Rocky Mountain Ranches, Ltd. specializes in offering non-guided hunts for elk, deer and antelope on premium private land. This gives you and your group the opportunity to hunt on some of the best properties that NW Colorado has to offer, ranging from mountains to desert and all terrain in-between.

- Our primary focus is to put you on the best ranch possible for the species you are hunting

- With ranches ranging from 1,000 to 6,000 acres, you can choose the terrain that is right for you

- Non-guided hunts provide a more rewarding big game experience and can be offered at a fraction of the price of a fully guided hunt

- By managing the number of hunters as well as the vehicle access, we maintain a low pressure environment for our animals

- Choose from archery, black powder or rifle hunts for elk, deer or antelope

RMR's success since 1995 has been due to our high client retention & quality properties offered at the lowest possible prices.  Contact us to discuss which hunt is right for you.

Don't have the points to draw an antelope tag in CO 3/301? Our land owners draw for vouchers each year and offer these at no additional charge when available!

Joe does a great job with his ranches and knows his ranches well. Very helpful in providing advice for how and where to hunt on the ranch. Have hunted with him and plan to do so again. Lonnie

We offer elk hunts and combo elk/mule deer hunts in Colorado units 13, 15 and 131. Our high desert ranches are in unit 301. These high desert ranches are great for mule deer and antelope hunts.

so are these basically access fees? I've never been on a guided or non guided hunt out of my home state. The non-guided seems interesting but not sure what is included after looking at your website.

Our hunts are 5 day, non-guided hunts on one of our private ranches. I would meet you the day before your hunt starts to take a tour of the property, have a safety meeting to go over the ranch rules, provide detailed topo maps and as we tour the property, we will discuss animal patterns and hunting strategies to get you started on your hunt. These non-guided hunts are not for everyone, but have become very popular for those looking to gain access to private land without incurring the costs of a fully guided hunt.

This gives you 5 full days of hunting (rifle antelope hunts are 3 days). Our prices do not include the cost of your hunting license. We have many hunts available through over the counter tags, but if a draw is required for the hunt you choose, we will provide assistance and ensure it gets taken care of.

You are welcome to camp on any of our ranches with your own gear. Some hunters choose to stay in nearby hotels or motels. When available, we also offer trailer camps for early season hunts at an additional cost. We also offer a limited number of ATVs to rent.

Feel free to contact me directly with any questions. Our business line is the best way to reach me and it rings directly to my cell. (970) 439-1894

Thanks, Joe
