Saw one of their ads on another show last week. The point of that ad was to donate to your local animal shelter, not those a-holes. Not sure who is behind the effort but... HELL YEAH!
This video has been around for about 5 years. Hope it does get air time, even if only during the pre-game as the link suggests. The fact that so many here haven't seen it before shows the need for more exposure.
Humane Watch is a great organization and deserves our $$ as they are aligned with us as hunters...though not directly, its a worthy cause. They get my money.
Pig Doc actually posted this back in April of 2010.....just wanted to bring it back everyone's attention.....if the attached ad really is five years old, I am sure that this study is where they got their information....I just wonder why it took so long to air?
Watchdog Group: Charity Navigator Downgrades Humane Society of the United States Ranking Richest Animal Rights Group Now Ranked Lower Than PETA WASHINGTON, April 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) pointed to a newly downgraded rating from Charity Navigator as evidence that the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is not adequately fulfilling its stated charitable purpose. On Thursday Charity Navigator slashed the rankings for HSUS and the Humane Society International, the international arm of HSUS. Charity Navigator now gives HSUS a lower level of trustworthiness than the notoriously radical People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The American Institute of Philanthropy also rates HSUS very critically, giving the organization a "C-minus" grade overall. HSUS's 2008 tax filing shows that the group spent less than one percent of its collected donations on grants to hands-on pet shelters. It put five times as much into its executive pension plan during that year.
