I have a Colt Firearms Grand National bow.It has an old hoyt stick on arrow rest that came off. Under the rest is a hole in the riser that's 1/2" x 1/2" with a plastic screw in plug in it. Does anyone know what that may be for? A built in arrow rest or an old type plunger? The plug and hole are both threaded. Thanks in advance.

I believe that was for the older style plunger but I may be incorrect you can google it

My guess would be for the old style over draws?

Standard for plunger button threads is 5/16". Not sure if there was a different size back then. I believe the Grand National was built by Ben Pearson Archery.

I think you're describing part of an adhesive rest that resembled. Do a Google search for plastic arrow rests and see if that resembles what you're looking at.
They could be stuck onto a recurve's riser and used in combination with. Berger button, or stuck onto a plastic base and mounted on an early compound.
