AZ- Point Guard not available?

So I did my elk ap and was anticipating purchasing the new point guard. When I got to the place to do it, the box would let me check it and it said "point guard not available". What gives?

It means you have not created your online portal account yet. The online account is free, you just have to register - create a username and password. It allows you to access your information, and they will post your draw results there sooner.

Things take about a week to catch up once your portal is established. You can then go to your current apps and the box will be there to add that feature.

Agreed. It's an "add on option" now on my portal because I didn't buy it. I'm not sure if that goes away after the application period closes. C

I applied for my dad today. He has had a portal account since it came out, but it wouldn't allow him to buy it. I'm not concerned as he has low points and, if something happens that's severe enough for him not to hunt if he draws, his few AZ points will be the last of his worries.

I had a similar situation. I have a portal account but it wouldn't let me buy the point guard. I called Azgfd and they said make sure your email listed on the app process matches your portal. I went back and sure enough I had my 2nd email listed. Fixed the email and the point guard box came up.

The gal at AZ G&F told me you can buy point guard for quite a while after the application period is over. I can't remember the date that you can't get point guard, but it's a month or more after the app deadline, I believe. ...of course she also said I'd be able to get it four days sooner than I could, so take that info with a grain of salt.
