I'm looking for one 2215 aluminum arrow or shaft, or a few pieces of cut offs. I'm looking to make some footing pieces for fmj dg 250 arrows. Does anyone have any of these laying around that you would want to get rid of?

Thanks, Gene

Not sure, but I'll take a look in the scrap arrow barrel this evening.

Depending on the diameter I may offer some footers to fit them.

Ray,

They are supposed to be .313 od.

I think might have some. I'll go check my old arrow boxes.

If they are a bit snug, gently grip the nock end in a drill and sand the end with 400 grit sand paper. Then clean with alcohol. You need a bit of room for epoxy to.

I square the shaft end up ( Dremel on a lathe) after the epoxy dries. That ensures that the original shaft and the footing are bearing equal load.

A footing is a great addition to arrows using the HIT system

I have 20 different models of them but .305"bore is largest I have right now. With the 2215s you'll have to do what Ambush said as calc works out to the size. That would be press fit.

I'm still expanding that lineup. If those shafts don't work out for you, or you arent in a big hurry for them send me an email - [email protected]

I don't have my FMJ 250 yet, but one guy measured OD and they are actually 0.290.

Gene, you have a PM.

The space between the insert and end of the shaft makes me nervous. May not be necessary, but I'm going to shoot it into an animal that weighs a ton and may have a bad attitude...I figure a little extra strength can't hurt.

Ben, thanks for the pm.
