Wide heel (exterior) boots

Been a couple of years since I posted a similar thread so thought I would see if anyone has found any newer design boots that have WIDE heel bottoms. I have weak ankles and have to wear a metal brace, but wide heels help prevent ankle rolls and hence the question. I wear Cabela Ultralights, but last two pair seem to get weak at the ankle area of the boot and fall out. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Call Lathrop and Sons and see what they have. The Han Wag Mountain Lights have saved my ankles several times. They're podiatric orthopedists, and would know better than most.

You might look at the Kenetrek overstep orthopedic boot. It has nylon staves in the side for support. Pricey but might be the solution to your problem.
