Interested to know if anyone is shooting these yet and how they like them.

SD is just "slightly different" right? Haha
Damn, didnt even know about them coming out. They sound great. Small diameter reds. Too bad I already got my arrows for this year. Also curious on a review if anyone tries them.

Small diameter arrows are great for added penetration.

Be nice if they would at least update their website.

I finally have to ask this question. With up upmost respect Charlie, how does a smaller diameter arrow help penetration. I can see it with a fp in a foam target, but I don't get it when it's behind a 1 1/8" bh.

There's really no way to prove it or disprove it. The biggest advantage I can believe is that they have less cross wind drift.

jstephens61: I switched to the CX, PileDriver, Pass Thru Extremes 4 years ago and have shot around 50 big game animals with those heavy, thin arrows and I'm convinced they penetrate better than regular size, equally weighted, arrows. I guess it's a confidence thing for me.
The attached video is a Bear I shot where the arrow knocked the bear over. Slo-mo at end of video is pretty neat. C

Might it be the increased weight? That's what makes sense to me. Can't see where shooting animals with a leading broadhead cutting a much bigger hole than the following shaft, where the shaft diameter matters. Spine? Yes. Weight ? Yes. Shaft diameter? How? Respectfully of course, this is just my opinion. God Bless men

WV, in theory less friction.

I get that Rick. Reality is what I'm asking? Broadhead ferrule's are as large or larger than a standard shafted carbon. With blades attach that cut the hole even larger. They go through first plowing the hole much larger than any shaft attached. So, why does shaft diameter make a difference in animals? Simply, it doesn't. It can't. God Bless men
