I have a Martin Panther TD recurve that the bridge has broken off, any Idea if its still shootable, the Martin folks say its too dangerous and would like to sell me another riser, I have shot it in this condition and it seems OK, any thoughts

Hmm. Manufacturer says too dangerous, but you're going to accept input from a bunch of us yahoos on Bowsite? The weak location appears to be just above the sight window where the bridge should have been (I'm not familiar with this model, but assume it used to have a bridge like Hoyt?)
I would think it's going to be pretty cheap to pick up a used riser from one of many online sources rather than trying to save a couple of $ and risk losing a couple of teeth...

I guess another question is what catastrophic event occurred in which the bridge was broken off?! Surely if it really was broken (and not intentionally cut off) the riser itself is likely to be bent and not particularly usable anyway?
