What is this?
What is this?
I think this is a farm dog roaming through the woods. I had a buddy or two say it may be large yote or a wolf. My property is located in Central Wisconsin. The photo right before this was of a deer running away with tail up. What do you think?

More dog than anything, BUT.........in Illinois we have coy-dogs. My buddy shot one bowhunting a while back. It looked like a cross between a German Shepard and a coyote.
Not saying this one is (need more than one picture) but it's something to consider.

I am going with dog, only because I have several wolf picts on my trail camera but they average between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. . Not that they cannot travel during the daylight. 9 a.m. but not what I have been seeing. So on the look the weight and the time I am calling Dog. oz

Not sure when your coyotes breed or drop their litters, but the end of February would make the time about right to see a pregnant female.
The markings are straight up coyote and don't appear to have any domestic dog colorations. Possibly a dog in the woodpile somewhere, but definitely mostly coyote by the markings.
Have seen lots of wolves and that one does not have the body shape, leg length, head shape, or markings of a wolf.
Shoot it.

Dog shape. Coyote color. Without a DNA check (fairly difficult to do from a photo!) you will never know!

I thought blue heelers had spots? Dire Wolf mebbe... Cross between German Shepard and husky..? Looks like it might even have a collar on, but pic is poor.

Pregnant coyote would be my guess.Picture may be a little blurred making it look bigger than it is.Round tail is the give away.

WAAAY bigger than any of my healers. For central WI my vote is WOLF. Size of tracks would tell the story. We are getting game cam pics of wolves, bears, and cougars in the south of WI (Dane county) Farm fields
