Lynx seem to quickly becoming "the cat to get". Unlike Mtn Lion and Bobcat there is only BC to hunt the Canadian lynx, few outfitters that consistently produce these great cats. We do our fair share of catching and combine some of these hunts with Mtn Lion which is a great add on to a hunt. Here is the past winter review in photos, once again we went 100% on mature cats. 12 toms and 4 females.

Eric on of our own here on Bowsite with his bow killed lion. I believe he posted a cool video of the kill shot.

Skinner,

Congrats on another incredible year! Beautiful critters for sure!

Where do you fly into if coming from the states?

Mark

I've got to get this trip done one of these years!

Flying in and out of Aniham Lake, BC, is the preferred airport for this hunt. It's only 1 ½ hours away from Skinner Creek Hunts.

From their website. The lynx and wolf hunt is on my bucket list as well. I guess I better start saving my pennies!!!

Williams Lake works better for flying in and out. Aniham Lake only has 3 scheduled flights a weeks. Williams lake has 5 or 6 a day. It is an extra 11/2 hour each way but at least you don't have to rely on Manday, Wedesnday Friday routine.

Well done Doug! No doubt Skinner Creek is #1 for Lynx. No one better!

Out of curiousity, how are lynx to tree? Do they run a long ways?

That is a giant lion.

JLS, the lynx have little scent, even less then a bobcat. Most guys that bring there hounds here never catch one without help from my dogs. If you have trail style cougar hounds a hot track can take you all day to catch if you catch it at all. An average track and trail will go about 6 miles on the Garmin but you never actually have the dogs more than a mile away from you at any given time. One of my favorite pictures.
