Get a 4'X6' horse stall mat, hang it from a 2X4, and you don't need to build a house for it!
I don't recall ever seeing plans for anything that elaborate, to be honest... The dimensions of the lumber you're talking about, though... Ought to be storm-proof to a good Cat 5!
Hope somebody can help you out with this, because it could get interesting...

Have since added a shelf for broadhead target and horse stall mat backing.

First build a 30'x 50' metal garage then on one wall build overhead storage. Next hang horse stall mats on wall and hang target from overhead storage. ;) There are cheaper methods though.

You need to go bigger than 30'X50' otherwise you are always having to move stuff out of your way before each shooting session!

do the kids get their bikes before, during or after practice? could add a bit of excitement to the practice session!

I hear ya t-Roy. Poor people have poor ways. ;) Besides if built a 60x100 it would be full of toys and junk and they would still be in my way. It's nice on the 30 mph windy days we often get in Oklahoma to be able to shoot a few arrows in doors. Of course have a 30 yard in door range would be awesome. In hind sight I should have used new horse stall mats:)

If you kneel down it's like trying to squeeze a shot between branches at that big bull. Ha Ha

I found this design someone else had built and copied it. Took about 4 hours.

If you stuff those bag targets full of shrink wrap, you don't have to keep the rain off them. Just sayin.

Here is mine, the stall mat isn't on it in the pic, but pretty obvious where it would go. His was pretty much all scrap wood from when the barn at our farm was blown down, so pretty economical, but a real SOB to move around!

Drycreek I agree. I can wear out a target faster than the weather will anyways, plus where I live the rain comes sideways. I've got a fifteen ft lean too on my shop and on most rains nothing under it is dry. These backstops do look nice though.
