I think this was the feeling us out hunt! Didn't take long to see we are cut from the same cloth! Soon we move and spot some birds and move in! 4 of us in the T5 ! 5 longbeards a few jakes and a dozen hens! We call and call. Nothing. Beav goes to check them and soon he is crawling back Fast! I cut hard to them and bam ! Gobble . Gobble! We are set up tight . Soon there is 2 toms run in and karate kick the jake! Brent smacks him and the other jumps on him. I am trying to head shoot him and he will not pick His head up! I miss and Brent backs me up! Double down . 1 hour into the hunt!

We take photos and head to another spot ! Soon we find some more birds! Setup on a farm road ! First call bam gobble! Next call Brent can see him at 40! . Then the Hens fire up and take him Away! 9 hens and the Tom come out at 100 on the road and head away! I lay into them with cuts and purrs and the lead hen a white one turns are way! But the Tom goes quiet and back in the woods. The hens start down the road ! Calling back and forth ! They close to 20 and the Tom pops out o In full strut at 8 yards ! Big mistake

Awesome gentlemen! Congrats on the birds and the friendships!
P.S. Nothing finer than a huge slab of prime rib on a paper plate and a plastic cup of whiskey. A local place I frequent has the same fine china and glassware. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Awesome thread guys! Bows, birds, and buds. That's truly what spring is all about! Turkey hunting is made to be a team effort shared with friends old and new. Whether it be sharing time in a blind or on the go, nothing beats making new friends and spending time with old ones while listening to birds gobbling and sending a few arrows down range! Nice work and congrats!
