I'm thinking about trying a turkey vest for this next years season to carry all my gear instead of a backpack or fanny pack. Any ever try it or have any suggestions?

Yes. It worked great for short trips or warmer weather where you don't have to carry a bunch of heavy clothing. But, when packing extra clothes and gear for cold weather long hikes, it is hard on your shoulders. Just like carrying a turkey. God Bless men

I tried one of those Primos bowhunting vests when they first came out. Seemed like a great idea but after one morning of sitting in a treestand with EVERYTHING I brought hanging on my shoulders instead of a tree limb, I got rid of that thing. Great for spot and stalk but not for sitting. I greatly prefer to either hang my pack on a hook or limb or sit it on the ground.
