The article claimed that someone shot him thinking he was a brown bear......there are no brown bears in the lower 48. Sounds suspicious......most people with a hunting background would know better....

Just read it. Very fake sounding. All the wrong terms used, scenario wrong. Notice how they mentioned hunting just outside of a preserve. Legal shooting hours are 15 minutes before dawn? why is he in a tree stand this time of year in Montana? I've never heard of hunting turkeys out of a treestand. Hunter had a rifle with a scope? Really?

tradmt: The LW thread is gone (I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did), but I have to correct you, it was NOT "100 posts of bashing", quite the opposite in fact, which I had not expected. The majority of the posts were either in favor of Nugent, or at the least at odds with some of the more vile responses that were indeed on there, of which one particular poster was responsible for over 11% of the total "bashing" posts.
