I got my mount back of the bear I took near Wollaston Lake, SK back in June of 2015. I killed this bear at 7 yards with my recurve after he bluffed charged to half that distance before retreating to the 7 yards where a 5 minute standoff commenced before I could shoot him. It was witnessed by my guide and another good friend. It took a 450 pound black bear form to fill out the hide. His skull measured 19 12/16". The taxidermy work was done by Tim Kleinmeyer of Iowa City, Iowa. I wrote an article on the hunt that was published in the Bowhunting World Extreme Issue last late July.

NICE JOB WHO WAS THE OUTFITTER AND HOW WAS THE HUNT??
That's an awesome bear and a terrific mount as well! Congrats!
Wow! Great bear and a great mount! Congrats!
The outfitter was Wilderness Family Outfitters based on Wollaston Lake, SK. I had hunted the concession two years earlier taking a bear that went 18 15/16". The area has been producing big bears for many years. I included the link to the article of my hunt. You will have to find the title in the digital magazine. It starts on page 90 in the magazine. It is title Saskatchewan Showdown. There is one set of pics that got messed up in the article. It shows a large live bear close to me. It was actually a bear that charged us when trailing another bear my friend shot and is not the bear I took. Same with the guy admiring a bear, it is my buddy Derek Jack admiring his first black bear, not mine.

Great bear and mount! Congrats to you!
Is the taxidermist one who had worked with Joe Meder? Joe did all my taxidermy work but has since retired. Still looking for someone in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area that does good work.
I am not sure Tim worked with Joe Meder. Tim doesn't have a web page or facebook page. He is strictly word of mouth and has been for many years. He is very skilled and highly detailed with mammals, birds and fish. I first saw his work on a buck I was measuring and was impressed by the mount. Tim's business is called The Taxidermist and does every mount himself.
GREAT BEAR and he looks awesome.
Damn nice mount and what a nice Bear!!
Good luck, Robb
