I live 30 miles south west of Canon City. There are no elk around here. None. Zero.

Don't overlook the OK panhandle. Its a sleeper locals keep quiet and it's just a short drive from Pueblo.

Come to Westcliffe and hunt with all the rest of the other nonresidents! Lots of hunting pressure outside Westcliffe. The fires in recent years have really changed things. It's not like it was in the past.

Kansas has elk, but only for the residents. No 80/20 or 65/35 splits there!

They hide in The Great Sand Dunes....... We took a trip there today then on the way back saw tons of pronghorn and elk.

There's no elk in gmu 76, they go to Wyoming during the hunting season, vacation here in the summer.

LOL they go to Wyoming during the hunting season! I think they leave the day before muzzle loader season, you can still arrow one early archery season!

its a winter range.. no elk in the area until early January..they head to new mexico for the spring , summer and fall months
