Rain is shine the baits have to be restocked every 3 days. It's one of my favorite parts of the process. The mountains a heavy pack and time to think. Good practice for elk season. Hunt

Hunt came out to Nebraska in April to chase gobblers and now a couple of months later myself, my son Zach and buddy Matt headed for Montana to meet Hunt!

Beav and the boys where coming in the on Monday following father day ! I had lots of early morning baiting.

The Boys arrived in time to hunt on Tuesday ! Everyone was pumped and the was a bear on the bait when we went in to bait! Hunt

Harlin and Zak would sit together and Me And Matt on another bait. It was windy as we head in. 3 bears for me and Matt but no shots for us that first night!

Zach and I had a bear come in and we debated on shooting but chose to pass since it was the first night. Zach said he better not show up on day two.

We made camp and Hunt had to work the following day so he would join back up with us in a day or so. He had worked his butt off getting these baits going and the cameras showed lots of bears.

Zach said he was shooting the first bear that gives him a chance tonight. This black one made the mistake of doing just that. Rubbed bad but Zach was thrilled!

We met up with Matt and he had a smile as well. He had killed a beautiful chocolate boar but he had died in a hell hole.

By the time we got the two bears skinned and butchered it was nearly 4:30 am and after a celebratory drink we hit the tent all smiles!

After a few hours of sleep we head out to check in the bears and meet up with Hunt. We had no cell service to tell him of our success so he was jacked hearing that two bears were down. We eat lunch have a couple beers throw some horseshoesand Zach buys a second tag he we head back for camp.

We make it to camp grab some bait get Zach showered up and go to rebait and get Zach settled in. We leave him with my pickup and Hunt, Matt and I head for camp.

We are fleshing bears and having some beers and telling lies when an hour later Zach pulls into camp. He is pumped! He had made a good shot on a nice chocolate boar. After a short tracking job we found his trophy and To say Zach was happy is an understatement!

Next morning we wake with a bit of a headache, get the meat boned out go check in the bear and Matt buys his second tag.

We return to camp and it is decided I will sit with Hunt and Zach with Matt for our last evening.

It was a slow night but with a half hour of light remaining a giant shows himself about 60 yards down the ridge. Hunt grabs his bow and gets ready but a wind shift is all this old boar needed to survive and like that he was gone. Hunt blamed this stank ass Nebraska boy for getting winded! Lol. It was a great experience to see the giant of the mountain.

We meet up with the other boys and Matt asked Hunt if he had that pistol handy? He had hit a nice bear that went into some thick stuff and wasn't thrilled with the bears reaction after the hit as it just slowly walked away and didn't even act hit. Matt was sure if the shit however. After a 100 yard track job we find another beautiful bear.

It was a great night out last night in camp! The next day we head to HUNT's house to help him lay some sod at his new house. There we meet Matt aka SBH, HUNT's dad and the em famous Roger.

I had a great hunt and only pick my bow up one day. We laughed so hard it hurt . Time with great friends and family is what life is all about to me. I will add some more photos tonight after work and maybe a bear pic before the week is out! Hunt
