Love the photo. Is that a satellite, plane or shooting star above the milky way in the center of the right half of the photo?

Canon 5D Mark II. 16mm, wide open at 2.8, 25 second exposures. Pretty sure it was a satellite, but there were falling stars all night.

Great pictures. I have a confession. Although I really like scouting for elk, I haven't scouted one time this year. The last three years I have worked very hard pre-scouting, patterning, packing in a tree climber or planning an ambush etc. EVERY year the sheep herders have moved in to my primo area the day before or the day the season starts. It has completely mitigated all of my efforts, time and gas money. So this year, I'm going to focus on a the bigger challenge of getting a Utah mule deer in a very heavily hunted area and then switching gears over to elk for the second to last week of elk season.

Man you guys are lucky to live so close to such beautiful country. If I lived there you'd have to chain me to my house on the weekends to keep me out of the mountains!

Yes, I'm very envious. God Bless and Good luck to all.
