First deer ever from the tree stand.... This guy came in about a week ago, 8:15pm, presented a 30 yard shot, and I just couldn't pass... My good buddy was also in the stand and got the shot on the iPhone...

I just had some buddies finish up a hunt on the Miller ranch and 1 got a nice buck and other had a missed opportunity I believe .

Here is the blackie I got this year ! Got him out of a pop up blind on the 26th of October in the evening . That morning I had the first daytime pic of him since early August . I've spent the last two yeArs learning everything I can about these secretive animal. I ran cams all through the rut and found what appears to be a honey hole with 4 different mature bucks that were bigger than this one moving through during daytime. Can't wait till next season !!!! FYI this is Western Washington.

Some incredible bucks for sure but they don't all look like true genetic blacktails. Some have those mule deer characteristics, both face and antlers. Im not bashing by any means but just noticing the difference. Were they all harvested within the "True" blacktail boundaries?
