I started shooting after a few months layoff in preparation for a September moose hunt. I as using a 4 pint sight (.029 pins). I was seeing each pin doubled-8 pins stacked vertically. Very difficult to shoot this way. I did some research and decided to go with the easiest fix. I put tape over the light gathering loops on the fiber optic pins. Now I am back to 4 pins. Interesting that the green pin is in perfect focus but the other colors are slightly blurred, but not enough to be an issue. Something about the green wavelength being easier to see. Anyone else experience this?

Several Optometrists on the Bowsite have recommended green pins as the most acceptable (least blurring) to aging eyes and it greatly helped me. Red is the worst and yellow is in the middle.
I would go Green, yellow Green, yellow and keep the tape off my fiber optics. A moose shot can be in low light and darkening your pins can work against you. A verifier will help as well. Good luck on your moose hunt.

A verifier lens, green, yellow, green pins on a three pin Spot Hogg slider did the trick for this senior's eyes. Same issues as you have.
Also heed Charlie. A nearly black moose, standing under a large spruce tree, in the dim light is a very real possibility.

I have the same issues you have except I don't see double pins yet as bad and I'm only 34. I have horrible eyes and for some reason the way I anchor I can only shoot my bow is with my contacts in not my glasses. I them look thru the nose piece with no lense and can't see anything. So eventually I will be looking forward to seeing double pins instead of real blurry pins

From what I understand, your eyes can focus the easiest on the color green , be it a laser on a firearm or a green sight pin on a bow... Found it to be true for my eyes... I had multi pin sights for yrs; than as age set it instead of a verifier, I decided to try a single pin several yrs. back .... One of the better decisions I made, would never ever go back to multi pins again.... HHA single pin green .029 .... love it ...... Good Luck..

I switched to a single pin also. Glad I did.
