I heard the camp spots are first come first serve at Cimarron Campground. Is it true you need to reserve a spot??

Anything after the first archery is first come.

Yep, usually first come first serve after early September. We talked to camp host on a scouting trip in 2013 on my hunt and that's basically what he said. If you pack in you can camp anywhere you want to.

Just checked reserveamerica.com. Only a few are availabe for reserve up to Sept 11. After that, all are "walkup".
