I think so. I use to use it with my compound before drop away rest and release and felt it was much more forgiving.

I do. I can shoot 4 smaller vanes that weigh less than 3 bigger vanes and get better control

I started shooting 4x4" feathers this year. So far I like it. (The purpose behind the switch was for better BH control)

I use 4 fletch on my trad gear, only reason is its quicker to knock an arrow without looking. As far as flight of arrow, found no difference.
As long as their is sufficient surface area to the fletch compared to your broadhead, you will get good flight.
I have even experimented with a good buddy of mine who is an incredible archer. We went down to two fletch, and arrows still flew great, but wouldn't hunt with it, and it looked weird.

Compound, 4 fletch, fingers, whisker biscuit. I like to keep it simple in hunting situations.

I used 4 fletch for my longbow for years. 4x4" and 4x5". the first thing you will notice is how fast the arrow dampens up after release. I got a few chances to experiment at 3-D shoots at really close targets and saw a big difference in penetration even after a bad release.

Started 4 fletch on my trad arrows. Now all my arrows carry them. Make a good release from a tuned bow and you don't need much of any fletch. Make a bad release shoot a bow that is has tuned problems and that extra fletch will help you out.
