Looking for light weight gaiter for my wife and I not to be used in snow and ice mostly during turkey season to keep boots and pants dry and the bugs out any ideas would be appreciated Lewis

Charlie beat me to it. Just be sure you're aware the Ascent aren't water proof. They will be water resistant but don't count on them to keep you dry in wet conditions.

I'm partial to the Kuiu Scree gaiter. Similar to the Ascent, but almost $20 cheaper. The Scree gaiter is only water resistant as well, not waterproof. Excellent lightweight gaiter.

For the money and for your needs, these should work pretty well. I have enjoyed mine.

I used this Integral Designs eVent shortie gaiters to keep out dirt, grass, rain from my mid hiking boots. The material is nylon with a GoreTex fibre lining and only weighs 3 oz.
