To you guys that use the Loctite super glue gel...have any of you used it to glue inserts into carbon shafts, and did it work?

It's just ok, it eventually gets brittle and breaks loose... for me anyways. I just use hot melt, and it works great. I am sure others will say use it.

It works fine for inserts. I don't think the loctite gel is as good as some of the other glues, specifically Steelforce but it works. Just get the interior of the shaft as clean as possible and you won't have issues. I have lost inserts 10-1 when using hot melt vs super glues.

I used it. If you don't seat it quickly enough it will set and your insert won't be seated completely. It won't come out. I don't care how hard you swing it with a drill bit in the back. I use cool melt now and like it better. Would never go back. I do use gel for blazers with excellent results.

I started using the Gold Tip "Tip Grip" and it has been flawless so far.

Thanks. I'll most likely use it. Only have 4 arrows to build. I love the Loctite for the fletching but never used it for inserts. With so few arrows to build I don't want to buy adhesive for inserts that's just going to set on the shelf for another year or 2.
