looking for information from anyone how has hunted unit 1 in Colorado, Prows and cons of this unit, any info is welcome.

There can be some giant elk there. I have pictures of a bull that scored 393" there last year. The problem is access. Some years the elk just seem to disappear too.

Tricky unit with good potential....definitely can be frustrating with access. I hunted the Utah unit bordering unit 1 and bulls went back and forth.

I never hunted there, just remember Roe posting out his hunt. The only higher point elk unit tag I ever had was 61.
