That bull was on the cover of January 2016 Huntin Fool Magazine. Philip Barrett, a Chick-fil-a exec, shot him July 2015 with a rifle. Scored 425 5/8" in velvet.

Iceman, sure is. I just buzzed it on fb and googled it. Thought it was current, its a beast. Isn't the world record about 12" bigger?

They just took the 2016 bull at the end of July; it was very impressive as well. Haven't seen the 2017 bull yet; may have to wait till the next velvet season.

Im with ya midwest, Elk should be hard horned. They seem much more majestic and bada$$ with the velvet striped off.
