Well....i don't usually do live hunts ...but seeing how ev3yone is looking forward to us ct hunters here we go! So it's warm humid and drippy out! But it's opening am and I'm in a tree waiting on light. This will probally be a quick hunt. There been some does here consistantly . Just looking to break in my new gallon. Coming to live from the back yards of redding! :)

Halon is no longer a virgin! Doe down! She came in snuck right up on me was at 10 yds had me pinned down reaching for my bow for 15 min finally she relaxed ....shot was about 8 yds....she made it 40 yds before flopping over ....pics to follow

Ok sorry about blood and guts pic ....neing so warm I wanted to get her field dressed asap . Typical 90ish lb doe. Sorry pat not much for a blood trail ....leaves r wet. Went in high and hit off shoulder....plus she only went a very short distance

You guys crack me up.....any back at it. This time back in Redding on a 160 acre piece. Being that I haven't been in here since last season I did a little walk around ....was all that thrilled to see this guy. Had him broad side at 30 yrs never had a clue I was there.....big bear.

So I texted my bud Chris who was with me that it was headed his way....he snapped this. As you can see big boo boo tags in both ears....so I'm sure deep is familiar with him.....dam now bears in Redding too!

So settled in some white acorns falling. Sign is so so at best. I don't have high hopes with boo boo around. And the boot shot.....and yes I'm wearing shorts ....its hot and humid scent control is out the window. Besides makes me fit in with all the urban liberal yuppies ??
