Anybody on here hunt Manitoba? I'm headed back this year to hunt with Craig MacCarthy of North Mt. Adventures. I had a good hunt last year, missed a world class giant and shot a 152" 9 pt. I was hoping there would be some guys with pictures of deer and if anybody could tell me what the herd is like this year? Thanks again!

I live/hunt in Manitoba. Of course this year I have spent less time hunting/scouting than ever due to a move and house renovation since August. In fact I haven't hunted once. Craig's camp is 3-4 hours from me so not particularly certain of what the situation is up there, but for the most part Manitoba had a good winter. Deer situation is better than last year for most areas. Some SW areas were hard hit with snow, but I think it was better up there.

I use to hunt around Gypsumville back in the 70s,unbelievable, and want to go back one last time. Between the grouse, waterfowl and walleyes it is real hard to concentrate on the bucks, like a kid in the candy store; seen a couple of real bruisers. Being self-employed since then it is real hard to get the time but that time is coming on fast, thinking very hard in the next several yrs in going back, a special place.

jjs, the deer are coming back after wolves, bear and winter kill took most of them. Our camp is near Gyp. (as we call it)

I think the buck that was hit was a 200 incher up by Craig's area.
