Headed to a spot where I should have service. Who knows out here. Going after a big 8 Ive had pics of for 2 years and saw him last year. Im sneaking in behind bedding in an overgrown clear cut next to a squash field where they left 50% of the squash. Deer and bears are all over it. Had him 8 days ago at 12pm moving off his bed right under my stand. If that doesnt work I am going to try to set up on a 6-8inch droptine 10pt or 12pt ive been chasing for years. The deer must be 8.5 or 9.5 years old. Friends have daylight photos of him. I saw him 6 years ago mouting a doe. Hes been a ghost since. 1 pic here 1 pic there. Nothong consistent. I have a better idea of his home range this year than more than any other year. Going to put up 4 cams in area saturday to hopefully show everyone this monster deer.

It always strikes me as odd that folks on the east coast are headed out to hunt as I go to bed in AK. I'd rather be getting in a stand than into bed...
