Today I am doe hunting but really I am because of what I might see. This is a place that can make your dreams a reality. I am try to coax my brother here since I tagged out at this spot but he had a nice deer come where it does not require as much effort so that is not likely. Hopefully, a big one will come close enough for me to get a picture. Yesterday a 130ish 8 point came by at bout sixty yards.
Believe me there is not a lot of sign. In fact most would think very little. But as my dad would say “ hunt where the land comes together. You will never read that in a book it has served me well. Especially, when in new country.
If I lived closer you could "coax" me! Looks like a dandy spot.
Learned many years ago, hunt the terrain. My wife used to be a nurse at a retirement community. Employees and spouses were allowed to archery hunt the 500 acres. I killed seven deer in five years. My walk was two minutes from my truck. But that is where the terrain came together. Would watch guys walk past down into the creek bottom, where there was a ton of sign, along with squirrely winds.
